Job Description
We are seeking a Process Writer, Customer Experience (CX) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process documentation, SOP/DLP development, and process mapping and a proven ability to standardize procedures, identify gaps, and deliver clear, usable documentation that drives operational consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive process documentation with CX teams and Lean Six Sigma Black Belts, including detailed flowcharts, process maps, and narratives.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements aligned with best practices.
- Write, standardize, and maintain SOPs and Desk Level Procedures across all CX functional areas with version control.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to validate documentation accuracy and compliance with operational standards.
- Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, and tools for consistent adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather details, clarify workflows, and incorporate feedback.
- Manage documentation projects, track milestones, identify risks, and report progress and recommendations to leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Business, Communication, or related field, or equivalent experience in technical/process writing and SOP/DLP development.
- Knowledge management skills to identify, create, store, and disseminate actionable content for employees and stakeholders.
- Ability to lead Teams meetings to extract process details from SMEs and stakeholders.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word (styles, templates, document control), Excel (tracking, data organization, formulas), PowerPoint, and SharePoint (document management, version control).
- Working knowledge of process mapping and ability to create current- and future-state workflows using Visio or similar tools.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail to break down and record processes accurately.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to manage projects and deliverables.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Medicaid operations such as Claims, Prior Authorization, Provider Enrollment, Contact Center, and Mailroom.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex workflows into clear SOPs, DLPs, and process maps.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma; Green Belt is a plus.
- Project management experience with multi-workstream initiatives and tools such as MS Project or Planner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process gaps and recommend solutions.
- Proficiency with business productivity tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication suitable for diverse audiences.
- Proven relationship-building and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to team objectives.
