Description We are seeking a Financial Systems Manager to serve as the SME for SAP S/4HANA Finance and related systems. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Accounting, and IT, supporting system performance, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Will partner closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable system solutions and ensure efficient, reliable financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the SME for SAP S/4HANA Finance, including core accounting functions and system integrations
- Develop deep understanding of system configuration, data flows, controls, and downstream impacts
- Advise Finance and Accounting teams on system capabilities, best practices, and optimization opportunities
- Lead testing efforts for enhancements, upgrades, patches, and new functionality, including test planning and UAT coordination
- Partner with IT and vendors to ensure smooth delivery of system changes with minimal business disruption
- Act as primary point of contact for finance system issues; troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and optimize finance and accounting processes
- Recommend and implement scalable system improvements to enhance efficiency, data quality, and controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, IT, and other stakeholders to align systems with business needs
- Support documentation, training, and knowledge sharing to improve user adoption and system utilization
- Assist with audit, compliance, and internal control requirements related to SAP finance systems
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience supporting finance/accounting systems with hands-on SAP experience (including Fiori)
- Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, close, reporting)
- Experience supporting or leading system testing and UAT
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with IT and business stakeholders
Nice to Have:- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, or major enhancements
- Background in finance transformation or financial systems roles
- Understanding of system integrations, data flows, and internal controls
- Experience in Distribution, CPG, or related industries
