Description
We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join a dynamic team in the financial services industry, based in Appleton, Wisconsin. This long-term contract position focuses on creating user-centered digital experiences that enhance financial planning tools for both clients and advisors. You will play a key role in shaping innovative solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering impactful designs that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop user-focused solutions that align with organizational vision and client needs, employing agile and product-oriented frameworks.
Create prototypes and visually compelling designs for mobile and web platforms that enhance financial planning experiences.
Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure final implementations are consistent and pixel-perfect across devices.
Apply human-centered design principles and contribute to the organization's design system to solve common design challenges effectively.
Advocate for accessibility by integrating tools and best practices to create inclusive experiences for all users.
Facilitate design discussions and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams using storytelling and facilitation skills.
Communicate design decisions confidently and effectively to team members and senior stakeholders to gain alignment.
Model leadership competencies such as fostering teamwork, delivering outcomes, and maintaining a client-focused approach.
Promote continuous improvement and employee engagement while upholding the company's commitment to trust and reputation.
Support a culture that reflects the organization's values and ensures exceptional service for clients.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Web Development, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in user experience design.
Proficiency in prototyping tools and visual design software to develop high-quality digital experiences.
Strong communication skills to present ideas and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Demonstrated ability to apply human-centered design methodologies to solve complex design problems.
Familiarity with agile processes and product development methodologies.
Experience in advocating for accessibility and implementing inclusive design practices.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and design researchers.
