Chemical Technician

A globally leading consumer device company based in Santa Clara, CA is looking for a Chemical Technician to join their team. You will support wafer fabrication operations by maintaining chemical systems during the swing shift hours (2pm -10:30 pm). This role ensures proper chemical levels, safe handling of hazardous materials, accurate inventory tracking, and seamless communication between shifts to maintain continuous laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform chemical top-offs, repours, and tank draining to maintain proper chemical levels
Track and respond to daily, weekly, and on-demand requests
Accurately document activities using designated software systems
Manage chemical inventory, including storage, handling, and disposal
Ensure compliance with hazardous materials and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity of laboratory services
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience handling chemicals in a wafer fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing environment
Strong familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts
Proficient with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools)
Ability to lift at least 15 lbs
Comfortable working with hazardous materials while following strict safety protocols
Associate s degree

Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with extension

Pay Rate: $ 37.00 - $ 52.00 (DOE)
