About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong consulting background and demonstrated success supporting large-scale financial system implementations. This role will lead product strategy and execution for complex financial services initiatives, with a strong focus on the nCino platform.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience defining product vision, managing epics, features, and user stories, and translating complex business requirements into scalable product solutions. You will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions supporting lending, credit, onboarding, and operational workflows.

This position also serves as a strategic advisor, helping evaluate complex business and technical challenges and develop long-term solutions that require strong analytical thinking, innovation, and cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
  • Own and manage product epics, features, and user stories throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Develop, prioritize, and maintain a well-groomed product backlog aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering, design, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality product increments.
  • Lead and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure solutions meet applicable business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and competing priorities and work with stakeholders to drive resolution.

Business Execution & Consulting
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners and senior stakeholders on complex business execution initiatives.
  • Evaluate highly complex business and technical challenges spanning multiple functional areas.
  • Translate business problems into scalable product capabilities and implementation strategies.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, requirements gathering, and solution-scoping activities.
  • Communicate product roadmaps, priorities, solution designs, and implementation strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate strategically with client personnel and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and successful outcomes.

Financial Systems & nCino
  • Lead product strategy and solution design for financial services processes, including lending, credit, client onboarding, and operational workflows.
  • Apply hands-on nCino knowledge to platform capabilities, configurations, enhancements, and implementations.
  • Partner with technical and functional teams to optimize nCino solutions and support large-scale implementations.
  • Help ensure product capabilities align with business processes, client requirements, and long-term strategic goals.

Client Onboarding & Growth
  • Support future client onboarding initiatives by assessing requirements, defining implementation phases, and aligning product capabilities.
  • Develop repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and best practices to improve implementation and onboarding.
  • Partner with customer success, product, and technology teams to support adoption of new features and product releases.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Execution, Implementation, Strategic Planning, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related discipline, demonstrated through work experience, consulting experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or similar role within complex technology environments.
  • Hands-on nCino experience is required.
  • Experience supporting large-scale financial services or financial system implementations.
  • Strong consulting experience with the ability to advise stakeholders and translate complex business needs into actionable product solutions.
  • Hands-on experience writing and managing epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, and/or Kanban.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, product, technology, engineering, and QA.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • nCino certification(s).
  • Previous experience with commercial lending, credit, loan origination, or financial services onboarding processes.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale technology transformation or platform implementation initiatives.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated banking or financial services environment.
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership and influencing strategic product or technology decisions.
Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will combine Product Owner expertise, financial services domain knowledge, consulting experience, and hands-on nCino capabilities. They will be comfortable operating at both the strategic and execution levels, from advising senior stakeholders and shaping product strategy to writing detailed user stories and working directly with delivery teams.
