Duties: | Position Overview: This position calls for an experienced and talented SEO professional who will support the development, execution and ongoing optimization of the SEO strategy for multiple Mayo Clinic domains, subdomains and mobile apps. Responsibilities include developing and prioritizing implementation of SEO recommendations for designated Mayo Clinic domains and subdomains. Collaborate with IT (Mayo and vendor) teams in support of SEO initiatives, drive early integration of SEO requirements into the web development process. Monitor Google Webmaster and other SEO tools to identify and investigate existing or emerging issues that may have a negative impact on SEO. Develop performance dashboard and analytics metrics and KPIs; deliver project analysis, monthly recaps, and other routine reports. Works with 3rd party consultants/vendors, leveraging various internal and external analytics tools to measure and report upon performance, troubleshoot and identify technical or quality-related issues that might be affecting the overall organic traffic and rankings. Set goals and develop plans to execute against goals. Stay on top of Google algorithm changes and evolving best practices to support SEO health. Support backlinking and other strategic programs as requested by SEO Manager. Responsible for producing detailed functional requirements documents for onsite search enhancements. Work closely with IT and other operational resource colleagues to see through timely implementation, testing and release to production and monitor and measure results. Work collaboratively with Digital Analytics and SEO colleagues, Creative Media (UX), Web Operations, IT, PMO, Ontology and other groups to establish, and implement taxonomy, data standards, guidelines, and best practices in order to optimize search relevance. null |
Education: | Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science, Marketing or other degree. 3 years of agency experience or managing enterprise SEO campaigns 3 years experience SEM and SEO Experience developing and implementing SEO strategies, conducting technical audits and SEO problem solving. 3 years experience leading projects in a complex environment. 3 years experience in SEO content development/management within a digital setting. 3 years experience with Digital Analytics and/or quantitative analysis skills. 3 years experience conducting keyword research 3 years experience link acquisition, content promotion and outreach 3 years of SEO technical experience including site performance optimization, structured data and A/B testing. Strong understanding of SEM, Social Media and eCommerce Expert in utilizing SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Conductor, Google AdWords, Screaming frog or other SEO tools Advanced experience with Google Analytics 360, Google Search Console Experience working with CMS environments such as Sitecore and WordPress Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access Ability to initiate and drive projects, tenacity to deliver results in a complex environment and to manage work across multiple projects. Schedule Notes: | Scope: -7+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with demonstrated success leading SEO strategy for enterprise or complex brands. The role will manage the execution of SEO initiatives by coordinating with IMDG, HE&CS and Practice partners on topic prioritization, content direction, brief development, assignments, and lifecycle tracking. The Senior SEO Analyst will maintain project workflows and content tracking through project-management tools. -In addition, this position will develop and maintain reporting that connects organic search and AI visibility to business outcomes, including care-family and topic-level visibility. -Experience working in the weeds with data using tools such as Python, APIs, Google Search Console, and other common reporting platforms. -The ideal candidate combines strong SEO research and analytics skills with project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate search and audience insights into actionable Marketing recommendations. Requirements: Sr. SEO Analyst qualifications required both strong SEO fundamentals and the emerging AI-discoverability capabilities: -Advanced technical SEO and data analytics expertise: Proven ability to analyze and improve crawlability, site performance, structured content, and search visibility, with strong proficiency Adobe CJA, Python, APIs and large-scale data analysis. -SEO and AI visibility measurement expertise: ability to evaluate performance across traditional search and AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI experiences, measuring citation share, mention share, source inclusion, competitor presence, answer accuracy, and volatility. -Entity, structured-data, and machine-readable content optimization skills. Experience improving how brands, conditions, treatments, providers, and locations are represented across search engines, knowledge graphs, and AI systems, with expertise in schema/structured data, semantic HTML, metadata, content architecture, and passage-level retrieval. -Cross-functional and cross-channel optimization capability. Demonstrated ability to partner with content, engineering, product, analytics, social and communications teams to strengthen a consistent digital authority footprint and translate SEO/AI optimization opportunities into actionable recommendations and briefs. |
