Summary

Job Title: Database Architect

Skill Level: Expert (84+ months experience required)
Agency: NYS Department of Transportation (via NYS ITS)
Location: 50 Wolf Road, 2nd Floor, Albany, NY 12232
Telecommute: Up to 50% (2.5 days/week)
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week), M–F, any 8-hour shift between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Start Date: 3/31/2026
Engagement Length: Full-Time (duration per contract terms)
Interview Format: Webcasting (Camera required)

Mandatory & Requested Qualifications (84 Months Each Required)

Candidate must have 84+ months (7+ years) experience in:

Developing data integrations for heterogeneous systems and BI using SQL (for government agency)
Database comparative analysis for transactional DBs and data warehouses
Analytical reasoning and data interpretation to solve business problems
Implementing Data Error/Recovery and Cleanup procedures
Integrating with Kafka
Working with SMEs, COTS vendors, and tech teams to design DW and application requirements
Architecting and implementing data warehousing, COTS and custom integrations, and master data management
Data modeling and normalized Data Warehouse design
Implementing solutions using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and ETL technologies
