Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS task order. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure management, and ensuring scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
Automate infrastructure management.
Ensure scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
Utilize infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Employ continuous integration tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
Maintain strong understanding of cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Apply security best practices.
Use monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in DevOps engineering.
Demonstrated experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
Experience automating cloud infrastructure.
Experience implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio and Linkerd.
Experience with observability tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
OR 5 years of equivalent experience in DevOps engineering.
