Description
We are looking for a JDE Business Analyst to join a manufacturing organization in Harvey, Illinois on a Contract basis. This role supports day-to-day JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing operations by addressing user needs, improving process efficiency, and helping business teams work through system-related challenges. The ideal candidate brings strong functional knowledge of manufacturing workflows, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and can contribute to both production support and ongoing enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Act as the lead functional contact for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing users, providing timely guidance and issue resolution.
Work through open support requests related to manufacturing operations, coordinating with users and internal teams to bring issues to closure.
Analyze recurring problems, identify underlying causes, and recommend or implement effective solutions.
Confirm, document, and complete support cases while maintaining a high standard of service for business users.
Support core manufacturing functions within JD Edwards, including item and production data, inventory activity, and associated business processes.
Participate in system improvements by assisting with testing, enhancements, and functional project work.
Gather business needs and help translate them into practical system solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, warehousing, distribution, finance, and operations to support business objectives.
Develop and maintain process documentation, training resources, and user-facing guidance materials.
Contribute to initiatives that streamline workflows and strengthen overall manufacturing process performance.
Requirements
Hands-on experience supporting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Manufacturing in a functional business analyst or similar role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes, with additional exposure to procurement considered beneficial.
Proven ability to troubleshoot system issues, assess business impact, and drive resolution independently.
Experience working directly with end users and business stakeholders in a support-oriented environment.
Ability to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and assist with solution design for process and system improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear documentation and training materials.
Familiarity with testing support, enhancement activities, and cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing setting.
Background using business analysis skills within structured delivery environments such as Agile Scrum is a plus.
