About the RoleWe are seeking a senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in financial services, Global Markets, trading environments, and middle-office operations to support strategic initiatives within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB).
This is a highly business-facing role focused on understanding and improving operational processes that support trading activity. The successful candidate will partner closely with trading, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to analyze complex business challenges, identify underlying issues, and develop actionable business requirements and solutions.
This position is best suited for professionals who understand the complete trading and operational lifecycle, rather than candidates whose experience is primarily centered on technology delivery, project management, Agile execution, or testing activities.
What You'll Do- Partner directly with trading, Global Markets, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
- Analyze end-to-end business and middle-office workflows to identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities.
- Elicit, document, refine, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of how trading activity flows across business and operational functions.
- Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable requirements and recommendations.
- Challenge initial stakeholder requests to uncover underlying business needs and root causes.
- Assess impacts across business processes, operating models, and stakeholder groups.
- Support initiatives across Corporate & Investment Banking and front-office business functions.
- Deliver high-quality analysis, documentation, and recommendations within established timelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels across a highly collaborative environment.
Minimum Qualifications- 10+ years of experience within financial services.
- Significant experience as a Business Analyst supporting business or operational initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience within Global Markets, trading environments, capital markets, and/or middle-office operations.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and banking operations.
- Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to capture and define requirements.
- Ability to understand and analyze end-to-end business processes across multiple functions.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in complex, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting middle-office trading organizations.
- Background in business operations and/or compliance-focused analysis.
- Experience within hedge funds, investment banking, capital markets, or institutional banking environments.
- Experience working across trading, operations, risk, and compliance functions.
- Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) experience.
- Interest in long-term opportunities, including potential conversion to a full-time role.

Experience with Agile methodologies or testing activities is acceptable when it represents a supporting component of a broader business and operational background.
