REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Secret Clearance DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
Required Qualifications - Active Secret security clearance (CAC strongly preferred)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or systems engineering
- Experience supporting AWS cloud environments
- Strong understanding of system integration, performance analysis, and troubleshooting
Certifications - DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications required
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting federal or defense programs
- Experience working in secure or classified environments
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and frameworks
- Experience with monitoring, automation, or performance optimization tool

We are seeking an AWS Cloud Security Engineer to support cloud engineering, system integration, and cybersecurity activities within a federal cloud program.
This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of AWS-based cloud systems while supporting engineering analysis, system integration, and continuous improvement across distributed cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities - Support the stability, scalability, and security of AWS-based cloud environments
- Perform system integration, verification, and validation activities across distributed systems
- Analyze system performance, functionality, and configuration issues and implement improvements
- Develop proactive engineering solutions to monitor and manage system health across cloud infrastructure
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, and engineering trade studies
- Support requirements allocation and interface definition for system components
- Utilize system metrics and operational trends to improve system performance and reliability
- Support implementation and enhancement of secure cloud architectures and configurations
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud operations, and cybersecurity teams to support mission objectives
