- One or more cloud certifications (OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position supports a federal cloud engineering program focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) within a secure, mission-critical environment.

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer (Mid-Level) with experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and distributed cloud systems.

This role focuses on ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems, supporting enterprise workloads across secure environments.

This is a remote-flexible position with preference for candidates in the Boston area who can support occasional onsite work at Hanscom AFB, particularly for secure (SIPR) access requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the stability and reliability of cloud-based systems and distributed virtual environments
- Perform system integration, verification, and validation across cloud infrastructure
- Monitor and manage the health and performance of distributed VMs and cloud services
- Develop proactive engineering solutions to improve system reliability and scalability
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies for system improvements
- Support requirements allocation and interface definition for hardware and software systems
- Analyze system metrics and trends to identify optimization opportunities
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, configuration, and functionality issues
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to support mission objectives

Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance with CAC access
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in cloud systems engineering or related discipline
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar cloud platforms
- Experience with distributed systems, virtual machines, and cloud-based environments
- Strong understanding of system integration, validation, and performance optimization
- Ability to support hybrid environments with occasional onsite requirements

Certifications
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Air Force Cloud One or similar DoD cloud programs
- Familiarity with IL2-IL6 environments
- Experience with automation, monitoring tools, and cloud performance tuning
- Exposure to DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise cloud environments
