Description: Our client is currently seeking a SRE Engineer
Location: - Cary, NC / Jacksonville, FL / New York, NY (On-site)
Full-time (FTE)


This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate has strong engineering fundamentals, deep hands-on experience with automation and IaC, and a passion for reducing toil through robust tooling and observability practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:
    • Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and Critical User Journeys (CUJs) based on non-functional requirements.
    • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, GitHub, and containerized workloads.
    • Develop automation, tooling, and operational workflows to reduce manual processes and operational overhead.
    • Implement and support Kubernetes-based container orchestration environments.
    • Create and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
    • Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability improvements.
    • Collaborate with development and platform teams to improve reliability, performance, and service health.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, including code reviews and documentation.
    • Work within ITSM processes to ensure stable and compliant operations.
    Required Qualifications
    • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
    • Expertise in Terraform, GitHub, Docker, and related IaC/tooling ecosystems.
    • Advanced scripting skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
    • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures.
    • Demonstrated experience reducing TOIL through automation and engineering solutions.
    • Good knowledge of SCM tools including Git, GitHub, and code quality tools like SonarQube.
    • Working knowledge of ITSM concepts and operational processes.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
