This position requires an experienced Network and System Engineer to manage the design, configuration, and certification for large enterprise voice and collaboration systems. The role involves interpreting diverse business requirements into technical solutions, developing technology roadmaps, and providing expert consultation for major network initiatives. The ideal candidate will work across multiple vendors and internal partners to produce high-quality solutions architecture aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, low-level technical designs for complex Enterprise Voice Solutions.
- Manage the design, configuration, and certification for large or several small to medium systems.
- Interpret diverse business requirements into a technical Collaboration and Productivity (CAP) solutions framework.
- Provide technology roadmaps governed by strategic direction, business requirements, and financial constraints.
- Ensure successful delivery of technical solutions into the production environment.
- Provide L3 support to resolve complex and visible production issues as required.
- Develop testing strategies, technology certification plans, and review results.
- Maintain and update engineering documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Engage with Product Management, Architecture, and partners to help drive technology roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering or computer science is required.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Voice and Collaboration industry is required. Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
Technical Skills:- Expertise in voice infrastructure, including SIP Trunking, voice over IP protocols (H.323/SIP), and session management.
- Demonstrated experience with Cisco Voice collaboration platforms (CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, Webex, MRA, Expressway, Telepresence).
- Knowledge of SBC, Genesys, and SonRibbon voice platforms.
- Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Firm understanding of VMWare vSphere virtualization with ESXi and vCenter.
- Broad working knowledge of call routing with QSIG, MGoogle Cloud Platform, CAC, H323, and SIP.
- Experience with automating and scripting processes for configuration reconciliation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of other vendors such as Juniper, Aruba, and Arista.
- Experience with networking products such as routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and WAN optimization products.
- A firm understanding of next-generation networks using APIs, WebRTC, and HTML5.
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated pay rate for this position is between $70.00 and $73.68 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
