This role is responsible for leading efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. The position involves guiding stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers through the design and execution processes, and providing technical thought leadership based on significant experience implementing multiple complex data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the design and engineering approach for complex data solutions is consistent across multiple flows and systems.
- Collaborate with team members to assist with knowledge gaps and provide instructional training.
- Assist other work groups in application development using Python or writing advanced SQL queries.
- Conduct research, design prototyping, and evaluate new toolsets.
- Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data for operational and analytics data systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure the data architecture is feasible and accurately implemented.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, and workload management.
- Define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision-making.
- Contribute to existing test suites, analyze test reports, and triage any issues.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Provide operational support by monitoring and maintaining daily ETL jobs.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Python
- Hive
- Hadoop
- Experience using statistical computer languages (e.g., SQL) to manipulate data.
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as MySQL.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques like clustering, decision tree learning, and artificial neural networks.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts such as regression and properties of distributions.
Experience:- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Experience working with and creating data architectures.
- Experience using a variety of data mining and data analysis methods.
- Experience building and implementing models, using and creating algorithms, and running simulations.
