Location: Beaverton, Oregon (Hybrid: onsite Monday-Thursdays and can work remotely from home on Fridays)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Footwear Product Designer for a contract role. The designer will work on performance and style-driven footwear, contributing to global product lines and infusing athletic gear with street-wear aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop footwear products across multiple performance categories, including global football (soccer), American football, baseball, athletics training, and golf.
- Integrate street-wear style into high-performance athletic footwear, balancing technical function with a strong design aesthetic.
- Create style-driven mood boards and translate inspiration into tangible product designs.
- Develop technical footwear concepts, demonstrating a clear connection from initial inspiration to the final product outcome.
- Collaborate with product design teams to deliver innovative and culturally relevant footwear.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of five+ years of experience in footwear design, with a focus on technical and performance products.
Skills: Candidates must provide a portfolio that showcases a distinct style, technical performance footwear design, mood boards, and a clear understanding of cultural trends and their application to product design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience designing cleats.
- Knowledge of how athletes interact with footwear products.
- Prior experience in the footwear or athletic apparel industry.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $45.00 and $65.33 per hour. Compensation may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
