Senior Business Analyst / Team Lead

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as a strategic liaison and team lead for a critical web-based data system. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders, technical development teams, and vendor partners.

Role Overview

• Location: Lansing, MI
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 2 days a week, Tuesday & Wednesday preferred. No fully remote option).
• Position Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor: Coordinate a small team of business analysts and delegate project tasks.
• Liaison: Translate complex business needs into actionable technical user stories for developers.
• Requirement Gathering: Lead workshops and sessions with stakeholders to define platform enhancements.
• Ticket Management: Prioritize operational support requests and technical enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with Complex IT Web Applications.
• 5+ years of experience in Requirement Gathering, documenting feedback, and process improvement.
• 5+ years of experience Leading Meetings, conducting user training, and delivering presentations.
• 3+ years of experience acting as a Liaison between development teams and business clients.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (specifically creating User Stories and running queries).
• 1+ year of experience managing documentation via Microsoft SharePoint.

Highly Desired (Major Plus)

• 2+ years of experience with Grant Management Systems or government-funded programs.
• 1+ year of experience creating Wireframes, Mockups, or Prototypes (using Figma or similar tools).

Interview Process

• Round 1: Virtual video interview via MS Teams (Laptop required; must be prepared to share screen).
• Round 2: In-person interview (Candidates must be available to attend an in-person interview locally).
