Agile Systems Analyst

We are seeking a local System Analyst 3 who possesses a strong blend of Business Analysis (BA), Quality Assurance (QA), and ScrumMaster experience to join our team.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions by gathering requirements, creating process flows, managing the project lifecycle in Azure DevOps, and executing rigorous software testing.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Location: Lansing, MI (Candidates must live within a 1-hour drive)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid. * Onboarding: First month is 5 days a week onsite.
  • Regular Schedule: 2 days a week onsite (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory). No remote-only option.
• Interview Process: Strictly in-person. Candidates must be available for an onsite interview.
• Sponsorship: Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.

Core Responsibilities

• Requirements & Design: Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Process Mapping: Examine existing and future states to map clear As-Is and To-Be workflows and product roadmaps.
• Quality Assurance: Design test plans/scenarios, execute functional, integration, and regression tests, log defects, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Agile Leadership: Act as the ScrumMaster for the project team, heavily utilizing Azure DevOps to manage boards, epics, features, and cards.

Required Skills & Experience

(All experience must be within the last 5 years)

• Dual BA/QA Experience (3+ years): Must have proven experience working as both a Business Analyst and a Quality Assurance Analyst.
• Azure DevOps or JIRA (3+ years): Proficient in creating epics, features, and user stories, and moving tasks through the project lifecycle.
• Agile/Scrum Methodologies (3+ years): Strong familiarity with Agile frameworks and managing team sprints.
• Process & Roadmap Design (3+ years): Experience building product roadmaps and mapping As-Is/To-Be workflows.
• BA/QA Tools (3+ years): Adept with tools like Figma and Visio.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and non-technical teams.
