Job Summary

HHSC is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support enterprise-level data engineering and AI adoption initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage project lifecycles, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of cloud, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.

This role requires strong experience managing technical projects involving data architecture, analytics platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

AI experience is a must and PMP certification is a considered as mandatory requirement.

• Lead complex technical projects in data engineering, analytics, and cloud environments.
• Manage project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery activities.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, analysts, and AI teams.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and success metrics.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and status reporting.
• Support AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives.
• Facilitate communication between technical and business teams.
• Track project risks, dependencies, and issue resolution activities.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC processes and enterprise governance standards.
• Maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, reports, and lessons learned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience managing technical projects in data, analytics, or cloud environments.
• Strong experience with data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing projects.
• Experience managing BI, big data, and enterprise analytics initiatives.
• Knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Experience working in healthcare or regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML or digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR, HL7, and CCDA.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Certifications such as PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, TOGAF, or Cloud certifications are preferred.
