The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can lead, architect, design and deliver modern tax technology solutions that enhance compliance, efficiency, and business value.
Role OverviewAs a Senior Manager for Tax Technologies, you will lead the end-to-end strategy, architecture, and delivery of global tax capabilities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, adherence to indirect and direct tax mandates, and continuous improvement of tax processes.
You will oversee the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise tax solutions-including SAP Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC) and Vertex-while guiding the organization through its transition from legacy ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC) to SAP S/4HANA.
This role requires deep expertise in tax transformation, strong technical proficiency, and proven experience delivering scalable, compliant tax solutions at a global level.
Roles & Responsibilities- Define the vision, roadmap, and strategy for modernizing global Tax technology capabilities.
- Lead end-to-end design and architecture of enterprise tax solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and global/local tax regulations.
- Assess and manage cross-functional tax implications across major process areas, including Plan-to-Stock (PTS), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Source-to-Pay (S2P).
- Partner with global business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust and scalable technical designs.
- Ensure seamless integration of tax solutions across SAP modules such as FI, SD, and MM.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) to support delivery within a scaled Agile delivery model.
- Develop innovative and compliant solutions that leverage automation, AI/ML, and leading control practices to accelerate value creation.
Functional SkillsMust-Have Skills- Extensive experience leading architecture, design, and configuration of global Tax Technologies, including Vertex and Thomson Reuters for sales & use tax.
- Hands-on expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC).
- Deep understanding of SAP leading practices related to tax accounting, profit-in-inventory, GAAP-by-entity, and tax-optimized data and ledger structures.
- Experience developing global tax deployment strategies, along with strong people-leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Good-to-Have Skills- Knowledge of SAP Advanced Intercompany, SAP Material Ledger, and transfer-pricing optimization within SAP environments.
- Experience with corporate tax automation, reporting platforms, and statutory reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Thomson Reuters Direct Tax suite (preferred).
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
Professional Certifications- Mandatory: Vertex certification or SAP Document & Reporting Compliance certification.
