Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure services across hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global enterprise infrastructure and a strong commitment to embedding cybersecurity best practices into all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable infrastructure solutions for hybrid environments, including on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Utilize virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V to manage enterprise systems effectively.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to incorporate security-by-design principles into all infrastructure operations.
Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security standards and policies.
Configure and manage networking components, including routing, DHCP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
Maintain and update system documentation to support knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
Implement patch management and system hardening practices to strengthen infrastructure security.
Provide technical expertise in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID for enterprise identity management.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure systems.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering within a global multi-site enterprise environment.
Proven expertise in administering and troubleshooting Windows Server systems.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, such as VMware or Hyper-V, and hybrid cloud operations.
Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, DHCP, DNS, and firewall dependencies.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and logging/monitoring.
Proficiency in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID for identity management.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
Commitment to delivering secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions.
