Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to support security operations at an active commercial construction project in Aurora, Colorado. This position is responsible for monitoring site activity, performing patrols, documenting observations, and helping maintain a safe and controlled environment for workers, contractors, equipment, and property.
The successful candidate will be professional, attentive, and capable of working independently while consistently following site procedures and reporting requirements.
Position Details - Location: Aurora, CO 80019
- Employment Status: Full-Time
- Officer Type: Unarmed
- Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour
Primary Duties Property Patrol & Observation - Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the construction site
- Inspect work areas, storage locations, fencing, gates, and perimeter boundaries
- Monitor site conditions and identify potential safety or security concerns
- Maintain awareness of contractor and visitor activity throughout the property
- Help protect equipment, materials, and restricted-access areas
Access Control Support - Observe entry and exit points throughout the shift
- Verify access authorization when required by site procedures
- Report unauthorized individuals or unusual activity immediately
- Assist with maintaining an orderly and secure work environment
Incident Response - Respond appropriately to security concerns and operational issues
- Investigate and document suspicious activity when observed
- Communicate incidents to supervisors according to established procedures
- Follow emergency response guidelines when necessary
Reporting & Documentation - Complete daily activity reports accurately and on time
- Maintain detailed records of patrol findings and site observations
- Submit required security check-ins every 30 minutes throughout the shift
- Document incidents, safety concerns, and unusual events clearly and professionally
Qualifications Required - Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass applicable background screening requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation
- Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
Preferred - Previous security, patrol, construction, or property-monitoring experience
- Experience working in active commercial or industrial environments
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to recognize and communicate potential safety concerns
