Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage for an active construction project in Aurora, Colorado. This position is responsible for helping safeguard personnel, equipment, materials, and restricted work areas through regular patrol activity, site monitoring, and timely incident reporting.
This role is well-suited for individuals who are dependable, observant, and comfortable working independently during evening and overnight hours.
Position Details - Location: Aurora, CO 80019

- Schedule: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM
- Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities Site Patrol & Property Protection - Conduct routine patrols throughout the construction site and surrounding areas
- Inspect perimeter fencing, gates, storage areas, and access points
- Monitor equipment yards, material staging areas, and temporary structures
- Check for signs of unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, or property damage
- Maintain a visible security presence to support site safety and loss prevention efforts
Access Control & Monitoring - Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering or leaving the property
- Verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures
- Monitor restricted zones and report any unauthorized activity
- Assist with enforcing client rules and security requirements
Incident Response - Respond promptly to suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security-related incidents
- Notify supervisors, emergency services, or designated contacts when appropriate
- Take appropriate action while following company policies and post instructions
- Remain calm and professional when handling unexpected situations
Reporting & Documentation - Complete required activity reports throughout the shift
- Submit scheduled security check-ins and 30-minute reporting updates as required by the assignment
- Prepare detailed incident reports documenting observations and actions taken
- Maintain accurate records using company reporting systems
Qualifications Required - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass applicable background screening requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight shifts
Preferred - Previous experience in construction site security, patrol operations, or property monitoring
- Familiarity with incident reporting and security documentation
- Experience working overnight or in outdoor environments
- Strong observation and problem solving abilities
