About the RoleIn this contingent assignment, you will support large-scale, high-impact software engineering initiatives. You will consult on complex technical challenges, perform deep analysis across multi-faceted engineering problems, and contribute to strategic decision-making that influences long-term technology direction.
You will partner closely with client teams to provide technical expertise, evaluate ambiguous or unprecedented engineering scenarios, and ensure solutions meet organizational standards for quality, compliance, and performance. This role requires both strong architectural thinking and hands-on engineering capability.
What You'll Do- Consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives impacting multiple teams or platforms.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of multi-layered engineering problems, including those involving ambiguous or intangible factors.
- Develop and contribute to solutions for sophisticated technical challenges requiring expertise in policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate strategically with client stakeholders to define technical approaches and support delivery outcomes.
- Engage in both design and hands-on coding as needed ("roll-up-your-sleeves" environment).
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of software engineering experience, OR equivalent demonstrated through a combination of:
- Professional work experience
- Consulting engagements
- Technical training
- Military experience
- Relevant education
Required & Preferred SkillsCore Technical Skills- Python Development: 5+ years
- Oracle / SQL: 2-4 years
- Python for Machine Learning: 1-2 years
Additional Skills- Ability to contribute to both software design and hands-on implementation
- Strong analytical abilities for complex, multi-variable engineering challenges
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
