Location: McLean, VA (Onsite - Full Time)
Assignment Type: Contract Only
Duration: Approximately 6 months (through October 16, with potential extension)
Role Overview:We are seeking a hands-on, analytically driven Data Scientist to help expand and operationalize existing analytical methodologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coding, turning data into insights, and building production-ready analytics and dashboards that drive real-world decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and enhance Python-based analytical solutions
- Codify existing methodologies into scalable, production-ready applications
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations
- Translate business problems into analytical solutions and actionable insights
- Collaborate closely with team leads on problem-solving and execution
- Contribute to and improve existing analytics tools and workflows
Qualifications:- ~3+ years of analytical, quantitative, or portfolio-related experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Python
- Experience building or supporting dashboards or UI-driven analytics
- Working knowledge of SQL for data access and integration
- Ability to bridge technical development and business needs
- Financial services or banking experience is a plus (not required)
- Experience with React or similar front-end frameworks is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:The pay rate for this position is between $45.00 and $52.00 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
