Summary

 

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of the Clients  911 technology platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain CAD, radio, call handling, and call logging systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors on upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Develop plans for technology enhancements and infrastructure improvements.
  • Participate in procurement activities including RFPs, RFIs, and vendor evaluations.
  • Oversee testing, deployment, and validation of hardware and software.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables and SLAs are met.
  • Forecast technology infrastructure and staffing requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through IT initiatives.
  • Assist with deployment and troubleshooting of 911 hardware and software.
  • Participate in after-hours major incident response.
  • Attend regional and state 911 technology meetings to stay current with industry developments.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of professional IT experience.
  • At least 5 years managing complex technical environments.
  • Experience supporting emergency communications or 911 systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT operations and infrastructure.
  • Experience managing technical vendors and service providers.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to participate in after-hours emergency response and major incident resolution.
