Senior Product Owner

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a Senior Product Owner. This candidate will help shape and deliver a complex enterprise product or platform while working at the intersection of product management, design, engineering, technology, architecture, and governance.

Summary:
The Senior Product Owner will own product strategy and execution within an assigned scope, translate customer and business needs into measurable product outcomes, and guide capabilities from discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. This position does not have direct people-management responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:
* Partner with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
* Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities based on customer value, business impact, feasibility, risk, effort, confidence, dependencies, and time to value
* Lead product discovery, experimentation, MVP definition, delivery, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement
* Translate product strategy into a prioritized backlog of outcomes, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, controls, instrumentation, and adoption requirements
* Define product scorecards and manage outcomes related to adoption, satisfaction, productivity, quality, efficiency, and risk
* Support governance by translating privacy, security, legal, regulatory, risk, and compliance expectations into practical product requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, dependencies, quality standards, release readiness, and trade-offs
* Drive adoption through communications, training, onboarding, organizational readiness, support, and user feedback
* Create executive-ready strategy narratives, roadmaps, investment cases, decision logs, priority recommendations, and product performance updates

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
* 5+ years of progressive experience in product management, product ownership, digital products, or related discipline
* Experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, backlogs, OKRs, delivery, adoption, and value realization for complex enterprise products or platforms
* Demonstrated experience delivering products from discovery through adoption in a multi-stakeholder enterprise environment
* Experience partnering with engineering, architecture, data, technology, and platform teams
* Experience driving adoption and organizational change across diverse user populations
* Advanced experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, hierarchy, traceability, dashboards, reporting, and queries
* Working knowledge of enterprise governance, risk, privacy, security, and compliance concepts
* Strong product discovery, prioritization, analytical, and investment-case development skills
* Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
* Excellent written, verbal, executive communication, and storytelling skills
* Ability to translate business needs and governance expectations into product requirements, controls, and measurable outcomes
* Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and move complex decisions forward

Preferred:
* Graduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
* 8+ years of relevant experience spanning product strategy and product delivery
* Experience in financial services, wealth management, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, or another regulated industry
* Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Workday, financial systems, or compliance systems
* Experience partnering with governance, risk, privacy, security, legal, or compliance teams
* Relevant product, technology, or platform-specific credentials

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
