Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Seeking a well-rounded DevOps / Platform Engineer to manage and modernize enterprise developer tools, with an immediate focus on migrating Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Cloud. Core requirements include deep hands-on exposure to Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jenkins, alongside strong AWS, Docker, and Python scripting skills. Knowledge of Jira Align, Rovo AI, and CloudFormation is a plus, while Kubernetes and HashiCorp Vault are not critical for this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and support enterprise DevOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation solutions.

- Administer and maintain the DevTools ecosystem, including Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Bitbucket, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.

- Manage platform upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and integrations with enterprise systems.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions and DevOps best practices.

- Automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

- Deploy and support cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.

- Implement and manage secrets management, authentication, and security integrations using HashiCorp Vault.

- Monitor platform health and performance, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.

- Utilize AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and other LLM-based solutions to improve automation, developer productivity, troubleshooting, and documentation.

- Stay current with DevOps, Cloud, Security, and AI engineering best practices and contribute to platform modernization initiatives.

qualifications:

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 4-5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.

- Hands-on experience administering enterprise DevOps platforms including Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Bitbucket, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.

- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, Git workflows, and GitHub Actions.

- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure automation.

- Strong programming and automation skills using Python, with experience in Bash and PowerShell scripting.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

- Experience implementing SSO, identity management, security integrations, and secrets management solutions.

- Familiarity with REST APIs, platform integrations, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to enhance software delivery and operational efficiency.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
