Summary

Duties/Day to Day Overview

Store Technology Ownership

 

  • Own and support the ecosystem of in-store technologies within the “four walls,” including:
    • Point of Sale (POS)
    • RTC/CSO systems
    • Workforce Management (WFM)
    • Clienteling tools
    • ShopperTrak and traffic analytics
  • Partner with engineering and support teams to ensure system reliability, usability, and continuous improvement.

 

Feature Rollout & Execution

 

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all technology feature rollouts impacting stores.
  • Manage rollout strategies, including pilot programs, phased deployments, and chain-wide launches.
  • Ensure readiness across training, communications, support, and operational processes.

 

Cross-Domain Liaison

 

  • Act as the primary liaison between Store Operations and enterprise Product teams, including:
    • Product Selection
    • Product Information & Personalization (PIP)
    • Checkout
    • Analytics
    • Registry and other customer-facing platforms
  • Translate store needs into product requirements and ensure upstream teams understand operational impacts.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

 

  • Partner closely with:
    • Store Operations and Field Leadership
    • Engineering and QA teams
    • UX/UI and Analytics teams
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption of features.

 

Operational Excellence

 

  • Evaluate how new features impact store workflows, associate experience, and customer journeys.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and operational gaps before rollout.
  • Define and track success metrics tied to adoption, performance, and business outcomes.

 

Continuous Improvement

 

  • Gather feedback from stores and field teams to inform product enhancements.
  • Advocate for simplification, efficiency, and innovation in store technology.
  • Drive post-launch reviews and iterate on solutions based on real-world usage.

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

    • 5–8+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably in retail or store technology environments
    • Strong understanding of in-store systems (POS, clienteling, workforce tools, etc.)
    • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional product initiatives
    • Experience with feature rollout planning and execution at scale
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into operational impact (and vice versa)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Highly collaborative and influential
    • Operationally minded with strong attention to detail
    • Customer- and associate-centric thinker
    • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity
    • Strong ownership mindset with bias for action

Nice to Haves

    • Experience working with omnichannel retail systems
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
    • Experience partnering with Store Operations or Field teams
    • Background in change management or large-scale deployment programs
