Overview
We are seeking a highly collaborative and user-focused SharePoint Designer with strong experience in Microsoft Teams to lead the design and development of a SharePoint portal. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, translate them into intuitive solutions, and build a modern, user-friendly SharePoint environment.
This role is heavily front-end focused and requires someone who excels at engaging with end users, iterating on feedback, and delivering a polished final product that meets business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements for a SharePoint portal
- Facilitate ongoing discussions to massage and iterate on requirements until alignment is achieved
- Design and build a modern SharePoint Online portal with a strong focus on user experience and usability
- Configure and integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams to support collaboration and document management
- Develop site architecture, navigation, page layouts, and content structures
- Create user-friendly interfaces, dashboards, and workflows within SharePoint
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), gather feedback, and implement enhancements
- Provide guidance and best practices for SharePoint and Teams usage
- Ensure proper permissions, governance, and document organization are in place
- Train end users and provide post-launch support as needed
- temporary admin support role as well.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and building SharePoint Online portals
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams integration and collaboration features
- Experience working directly with business users to gather and refine requirements
- Strong front-end development and design skills within SharePoint (pages, web parts, UI/UX)
- Experience conducting and supporting UAT processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate business needs into functional and visually appealing solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Familiarity with SharePoint governance and best practices
- Experience in document management and collaboration solutions
- Background in supporting enterprise or large-scale SharePoint implementations
