Senior Functional Tester (Accounts Receivable / Fixed Assets)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Systems Analyst to support financial system testing and validation across multiple functional areas, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA). The selected consultant will work closely with business users, project teams, and technical staff to ensure financial system enhancements, upgrades, and business processes meet organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing for financial systems modules, including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Fixed Assets (FA)
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Validate system functionality, integrations, and business processes.
• Identify, document, track, and retest system defects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Support system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Verify data accuracy and financial transaction processing.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide testing documentation.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives related to financial systems.
• Prepare testing reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 4 years of experience serving as a Senior Financial Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Experience supporting financial systems through system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and business process improvements.
• Strong understanding of financial business processes, including:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Fixed Assets
• Experience performing functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Work Location

• Hybrid work schedule.
• Onsite Monday through Thursday at 2401 Mill Road, Alexandria, VA.
• Remote on Fridays.
• Part-time engagement requiring onsite attendance during the project period.
