Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Reimbursements, Encounters, Claim Outputs (RECO) team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, developing complex software solutions working with RxClaim on the AS/400 platform.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successful AS/400/RPG/Synon, Experience in legacy system modernization leveraging Google Cloud Platform/Azure, product centric mindset, and the ability to drive the technical direction of the projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide solutions and design complex functionality within the RECO area.

Help define standards / methodologies / guidelines and ensure compliance while aligning solutions to the Adjudication Platform application architecture.

Lead modernization efforts for IBMi systems, including automation and integration with cloud platforms (Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

Leverage internal development tools and CI/CD processes.

Provide technical guidance to project teams and influence best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience and a deep understanding of AS/400 application development.
  • 5+ years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE and CL; Synon2/E (aka COOL 2/E)
  • 5+ years of IBMi SQL experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading application teams to deliver technical improvements and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adjudication Platform or similar pharmacy claim adjudication systems.
  • Background in Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM).
  • Experience in legacy system modernization.
  • Familiarity with IBMi integration with cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects; proficiency working on all phases of SDLC and with problem determination and resolution through research and fact finding.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
