System Integration Developer (Airline Operations)

Role Summary

We are looking for experienced System Integration Developers with strong exposure to airline operations systems, specifically Movement Manager (MM) or equivalent Operations Control / Movement Control platforms.

The selected developers will focus on building integration software between the client’s Movement Manager APIs and airline customer systems, primarily data lakes and downstream analytics platforms.

This role does not involve development on the Movement Manager product itself. Instead, it focuses on designing and delivering scalable, reusable integration components that accelerate customer onboarding and support ongoing integration mandates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop system integrations between Movement Manager APIs and airline customer systems.
• Build reusable integration components, aligned with standardized:
• API definitions
• Starter templates
• Baseline test cases
• Deployment and monitoring scripts
• Work closely with client SMEs, airline customer architects, and internal engineering teams.
• Understand and translate airline operational workflows, including:
• Movement Control
• Operations Control Center (OCC) processes
• Flight operations data flows
• Implement integrations between operational systems and customer data platforms (data lakes, analytics systems).
• Ensure secure connectivity, authentication, and onboarding for customer integrations.
• Support deployment in client-hosted environments, based on customer preference.
• Participate in onboarding sessions, integration maintenance, and monitoring activities.
• Ensure production readiness, including error handling, logging, and stability.
• Contribute to accelerated implementation cycles to reduce customer onboarding timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Strong experience developing API-based system integration software.
• Hands-on expertise in Python (v3.9 or higher).
• Solid experience with AWS serverless technologies, including:
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon SQS and SNS
• EventBridge Scheduler
• Amazon S3
• Strong data integration experience with:
• SQL (Microsoft SQL Server flavor)
• Amazon DynamoDB
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
• Terraform (required)
• Terragrunt (preferred)
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON).
• Strong understanding of:
• Error handling and retry mechanisms
• Logging and monitoring for production integrations
• Integration stability and resilience
• Experience integrating operational systems with data lakes or analytical platforms.

Airline Operations & Product Knowledge (Key Requirement)

• Strong understanding of Movement Manager software is critical.
• Experience working with airline operational systems, including:
• Movement Control
• Operations Control Center (OCC)
• Flight operations and aircraft movement data
• Ability to understand airline operational data flows and how they integrate with downstream systems.
