Precision CNC Machine Operator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Precision CNC Machine Operator to join our team in a climate-controlled, clean production environment. This critical role involves operating advanced CNC machinery and machining centers to fabricate precision parts that meet rigorous engineering specifications. Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation & Setup:
    • Set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate precision parts.
    • Determine and locate machine work offsets using tools like edge finders, indicators, and probes.
    • Start, observe, and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
    • Independently run parts that consistently meet engineering specifications.
    • Meet established job standard times and proactively communicate any non-conformance.
  • Quality & Inspection:
    • Read, understand, and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings, demonstrating working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
    • Thoroughly inspect the first part run for mid to high-level complexity jobs.
    • Verify the conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using standard and precision measuring tools.
  • Troubleshooting & Communication:
    • Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork and ensure part count and data entry is consistently correct.
    • Recognize and diagnose machine deviations versus cutter or holding problems and communicate discrepancies, non-conformances, or deviations to the lead person or supervisor.
    • Solve routine problems and demonstrate some advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Follow all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of safety equipment and adherence to relevant safety procedures.


Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or graduation from a certified technical school.
  • Must have excellent or correctable vision.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math for basic calculations, and utilize essential handheld measuring tools.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally (basic instructions) and in writing (simple memos/instructions).


Preferred Experience & Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of related CNC machining experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks and follow directions precisely without deviation from procedures.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Work Environment

  • Climate-controlled, clean production environment.
  • The role primarily involves standing, with the option for sitting throughout the shift.

Schedule & Compensation

Shift Schedules (10-hour shifts Monday - Thursday)

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift: 4:15 pm - 2:45 am
  • 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday): 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
  • Fridays are reserved for overtime (OT) when necessary.
