Position: Communications Lead - ERP
Required: Experience communicating enterprise wide application changes
Candidate Location: Charlotte or Greensboro, NC area
On-Site Requirement: Flexible hybrid - able to come on-site as needed
Duration: 30 month contract
Type: W2 contract, paid hourly.
Industry: Banking
W2 Contract Pay: $75-95/hr; based on experience
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the program-wide communications strategy across the multiple project workstreams.
2. Develop and maintain a communications roadmap aligned with program scope, schedule, and dependencies.
3. Establish program standards for messaging, templates, tone, and approval workflows that follow our communication guidelines.
4. Ensure compliance with our PMLC, TDLC, and risk management routines in all communications.
5. Oversee Service Integrator execution of communication deliverables; review and approve content before release.
6. Define audience segmentation and stakeholder mapping for impacted business and functional areas.
7. Engage with business/functional leaders and impacted individuals through listening sessions, office hours, and feedback forums.
8. Create role-based communications and job aids explaining process changes and impacts.
9. Coordinate readiness surveys and pulse checks; analyze results and feed insights into risk mitigation plans.
10.Craft executive and leadership messaging for steering committees and program updates.
11. Publish recurring updates (newsletters, FAQs, release notes, cutover communications) across approved channels.
12. Plan and host town halls, webinars, and Q&A sessions to drive engagement and adoption.
13. Integrate communications with change management and training plans for timely readiness messaging.
14. Develop and execute cutover communication plans, including blackout windows and "Day 1" guides.
15. Monitor communication risks and issues, escalate as needed, and implement mitigation strategies.
16. Track and report communication KPIs (reach, engagement, sentiment) to program leadership.
17. Prepare executive dashboards and briefing packs summarizing communication health and stakeholder readiness.
18. Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, Business Leads, Training Lead, and the Service Integrator to ensure messaging supports benefits realization and risk mitigation.
19. Conduct impact assessments based on design sessions to evaluate and develop the communication road map.
20. Implement the communication roadmap developed in partnership with the Service Integrator.
Must Have:
1. Major financial institution (Category 1 or 2 bank) transformative program experience, preferably ERP or Finance Transformation.
2. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and OneStream.
3. Proven ability to lead program-wide communications strategy for complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
4. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
5. Ability to translate technical and process changes into clear, business-friendly messaging for diverse audiences.
6. Experienced in developing and executing communications governance frameworks, including templates and approval workflows.
7. Proven experience in managing vendors or service integrators for communications delivery.
8. Strong facilitation and presentation skills for town halls, webinars, and executive briefings.
9. Enhanced planning and organizational skills, including communications calendar management and dependency alignment.
10. Ability to translate conversations with process owners and stakeholders into effective communication plans and messaging frameworks.
11. Bachelors Degree
Preferred:
1. Background in Accounting and Finance as a stakeholder or communications role with experience ensuring GAAP compliance, regulatory reporting, and profitability.
2. Experience planning and executing readiness activities, including client and teammate communications for large-scale transformations.
3. Prior experience supporting system and user acceptance testing communications and readiness planning.
4. Exposure to AI and automation strategy communications within enterprise programs.
5. Experience with data strategy communications, including governance and analytics messaging.
6. Familiarity with BTP, FRDM, Hyperion, and BPC.
7. Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Change Management.
