Job#: 3027461 Job Description: Role OverviewThis contingent role supports complex Information Security Engineering initiatives by managing the operational, administrative, and governance activities of the Third-Party Penetration Testing Program. The position is not a technical engineering role; instead, it focuses on coordination, documentation, remediation tracking, reporting, and ensuring consistent execution across security teams, vendors, and leadership stakeholders.
You will serve as the central point of contact for remediation validation, test engagement coordination, and report quality assurance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a structured security environment, and eager to learn.

Key ResponsibilitiesRemediation Validation & Tracking (Primary Focus)- Own the end-to-end remediation validation process for all third-party and internal penetration test findings.
- Create, assign, and manage Jira validation tickets to ensure every finding is tracked through closure.
- Monitor progress, identify blockers, escalate delays, and drive timely remediation.
- Work with remediation owners to clarify requirements, verify evidence, and confirm fixes are reproducible.
- Provide recurring updates to leadership on validation status, overdue items, systemic risks, and team performance.
- Ensure closure documentation meets program standards for accuracy and completeness.
Penetration Test Engagement Management- Coordinate third-party penetration testing engagements from initiation through closure.
- Lead scoping discussions to define objectives, environments, and timelines.
- Manage tester onboarding, including access provisioning and environment readiness.
- Track communication during active testing and resolve issues as they arise.
- Host debrief sessions to ensure findings and remediation expectations are clearly understood.
Reporting & Documentation- Receive, review, and process penetration test reports from external vendors.
- Enter validated findings into the Security Findings Tracking Tool (SFTT) or designated platforms.
- Maintain consistent, accurate documentation of findings, severity ratings, and business impact.
Report Quality Assurance- Assign reports to QA reviewers and oversee the QA workflow.
- Track QA-related Jira tickets to ensure timely review and closure.
- Validate that reports meet program standards for clarity, reproducibility, and completeness.
- Collaborate with testers and internal teams to resolve inconsistencies and request revisions.
Monthly Reporting & Metrics- Generate and distribute monthly penetration testing and remediation metrics.
- Summarize trends, testing volume, and remediation progress for leadership.
- Maintain reporting archives and support data-driven insights.
Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, templates, validation standards, and operational processes.
- Analyze recurring issues to drive improvements and reduce risk exposure.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance activities related to penetration testing.
What You Bring- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity program support, penetration testing operations, or vulnerability management.
- Strong familiarity with Jira or similar workflow/tracking tools.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving program needs.
- Understanding of offensive security concepts and frameworks (OWASP, NIST, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience producing structured documentation, reports, and executive-ready summaries.
- Ability to work effectively in a support-focused, administrative, and process-driven role.
