Workday Financial Analyst
Location: Preferred Boston, MA but will consider remote candidates residing in the following states: AL, FL, GA, LA, MA, MO, NH, OH, SC, TX, RI, MD
Contract Duration: 18+ Months
General Summary
We are seeking a Workday Financials Analyst with strong full-cycle implementation experience. This is a hands-on functional role supporting Finance initiatives from design through go-live and ongoing system support. The role partners closely with business stakeholders to configure, test, and optimize Workday Financials solutions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle implementation of Workday Financials, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Configure and support key Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Customer Accounts, and Fixed Assets
- Translate business requirements into functional design and system configuration
- Manage system changes from requirements through implementation and validation
- Develop and execute test scripts, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and resolve defects
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
- Support reporting, documentation, and end-user training
- Ensure system functionality aligns with business needs and financial processes
- Assist with ongoing system enhancements and optimization initiatives
Qualifications

Experience- Minimum of 4+ years of Workday Financials experience
- Proven experience supporting full-cycle Workday Financials implementations
- Strong functional expertise across Workday Financials modules

Preferred Qualifications- Workday Financials certifications
- Experience leading or supporting end-to-end system implementations
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders in a collaborative environment
- Industry experience in healthcare or similarly complex organizations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of financial systems and accounting processes
- Hands-on experience with Workday Financials configuration and functionality
- Experience with testing, including UAT, test script creation, and defect resolution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to translate business needs into system solutions
