We are seeking a skilled Contract Specialist/Contract Administrator to join our team in Texas, ideally in the Houston metropolitan area. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing IT contracts, comparing them to provided templates, recommending negotiation strategies, identifying contractual risks, and coordinating meetings with vendors and our legal department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and interpret a high volume of IT contracts, ensuring alignment with company templates and standards.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend negotiation strategies to mitigate exposure.
- Serve as a liaison between procurement, legal, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely contract execution.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders, including the legal department.
- Support internal processes by utilizing contract templates and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of contract negotiations, amendments, and approvals.
- Provide guidance on contract terms, conditions, and negotiation processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years’ experience managing a high volume of contracts.
- Strong contract review and comprehension skills are essential.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a liaison to ensure effective communication and workflow between procurement, legal, and other departments.
- Experience with intermediate contract negotiations and the use of templates to support internal processes.
- Solid understanding of contract terms and negotiation processes.
- Familiarity with technology, equipment, software, and professional services contracts is required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field preferred.
