Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Hybrid onsite 3 days/week and remote 2 days/week)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join a team responsible for market risk models. This role involves performing analysis on fixed income products such as treasury bonds, futures, and agency mortgage-backed securities. The position focuses on risk calculations for settlement and clearance,
not front-office trading or portfolio strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance in-house fixed income risk models for back office.
- Analyze fixed income products including treasury bonds and mortgage-backed securities.
- Utilize existing functions and data to conduct analytics and test margin calculations.
- Design and produce model performance metrics and reports for internal users and external supervisors.
- Independently format and validate analysis results to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Support risk calculations related to settlement and clearance activities.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in quantitative modeling/research, plus a deep understanding of fixed income, back office, and market risk. Experience in modeling for VaR or market risk is a strong fit.
Technical Skills: Fluency in Python for modeling, statistics, and data cleaning, using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, is required. Basic SQL skills for querying databases like Snowflake are also necessary. Experience with treasury bond or mortgage-backed securities (MBS) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of treasury securities and/or mortgage-backed securities pricing and VaR modeling is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with other high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position ranges from $70.00 to $85.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
