Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a Senior Service Cloud Engineer to lead ongoing support for both new and existing Salesforce Service and Sales Cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer with a proven track record of implementing Salesforce Service Cloud, integrating them into large enterprise solutions. This engineer will serve as a service delivery and sales subject matter expert, contributing to technical design, development, and testing while collaborating with various partners and service providers. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for thriving in a highly matrixed environment, alongside the required Salesforce Service Cloud technical expertise. The candidate should be flexible and must be an engaging team player.

Requirements

  • Leverage Salesforce Service expertise to act as technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineer

  • Must not be afraid to ask questions or adverse to being asked questions; willing to share experiences and explain alternative solutions

  • Deliver technical solutions with focus on security, authentication, scalability and performance

  • Ability to work independently or on a team

  • Serve as lead Salesforce developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards and coaching and mentoring team members

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a team environment

  • Ability to work in an Enterprise Agile/Transitioning development environment

  • Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans

  • Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations

  • Provides consultation for routine and complex systems development

  • Coordinates with Operations and Infrastructure Delivery teams for deployment and production support activities

  • Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutions

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience and/or certification

  • 6+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports/dashboards, Knowledge, data management, and sandbox environments

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience with consuming web services

  • 1-2+ years of experience Lightning framework (Aura, LWC)

  • Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger framework

Technical Requirements:

  • Expertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g., Java and Apex)

  • Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and/or Ajax

  • Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with other applications using Connected Apps and APIs

  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, other)

  • Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger framework

  • Expertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g., Java and Apex)

Other Qualifications

  • An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving and iterative development

  • Salesforce developer/architect/admin certifications including Salesforce Einstein certifications are pluses

  • Experience in development of hotel property applications

  • Leadership experience in a sourced environment
