Role: Oracle DBA (PostgreSQL & Couchbase)
Work Location: Sunrise, FL(Hybrid)
Project Duration: 12+ Months Contract
 
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and Cassandra

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise database solutions using Oracle, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and Cassandra.
  • Perform database architecture and data modeling activities for relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
  • Monitor and tune database performance, including query optimization, indexing, execution plans, and resource utilization.
  • Design and implement high availability, replication using GoldenGate, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support large-scale database migrations, platform upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
  • Implement database security, access controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues, production incidents, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to establish database design standards, coding best practices, and efficient data access patterns.
  • Automate routine database administration, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance activities.
  • Support database solutions deployed in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and database standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional experience in database design, development, engineering, and administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL, including database architecture, SQL development, performance tuning, and administration.
  • Practical experience with Couchbase and Cassandra, including NoSQL data modeling, cluster management, replication, and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of relational and distributed database architecture, indexing strategies, partitioning, and query optimization.
  • Experience implementing database high availability, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and replication strategies using GoldenGate.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, and database scripting.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex production database issues.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, access management, and data protection.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with mission-critical applications.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
