Job Description

Job Summary:

Do you thrive on solving technical challenges that keep complex systems running at their best? As a Systems Engineer at Centrus Energy, you'll be the bridge between engineering design and plant operations-helping ensure our high-tech enrichment systems perform safely, reliably, and efficiently every single day. You'll dive into data, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate across disciplines to maximize performance and uptime. If you're energized by the idea of engineering systems that power America's clean-energy future, this is your opportunity to make a measurable impact in a world-class operation.

What You Will Do:

You'll monitor, analyze, and optimize assigned plant systems-tracking performance, reviewing logs, and trending data to keep operations safe and reliable. You'll coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve issues, perform system evaluations, and support testing and surveillance of safety-related components. You'll also prepare reports and updates for leadership, support integrated system testing, lead or assist troubleshooting activities, and help ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety requirements. Every day brings a new technical puzzle to solve-and the satisfaction of seeing your engineering expertise in action.

We'd Love to Hear from People With:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles, system analysis, and problem-solving methods
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" level security clearance

A Successful Candidate Brings:
  • Demonstrated proficiency across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Hands-on experience with Balance of Plant (BOP) systems such as boilers, compressors, pumps, or refrigeration systems
  • Active "Q" clearance

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
