Job Title : LIMS System Engineer

Location : Kalamazoo, MI | Onsite

Duration : Long Term contract

Job Description:

A Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining LIMS platforms used in laboratories to manage samples, test data, workflows, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent, with minimum 10+ Years of Overall IT experience.

Configure and administer LIMS platforms to support laboratory workflows.
Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems (ERP, ELN, instruments, databases).
Develop custom scripts, workflows, and automation within the LIMS system.
Manage data migration, system upgrades, and performance optimization.
Knowledge on compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Work with laboratory scientists and business teams to gather system requirements.
Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support.
Maintain documentation, validation protocols, and audit readiness.
Strong Analytics and problem Solving Skills
Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
