Summary

Cloud Platform Engineer (HashiCorp Vault & AWS)

McLean VA in-person interview will be required.

W2 Only

Contract Length: Through June 2027

Employment Type: Contract only

Location: McLean, VA (100% onsite, Monday Friday, once month on call)

Required Qualifications

2+ years of general cloud experience
Strong Python scripting experience (top priority)
Cloud administration experience
Experience with HashiCorp Vault is a MUST.
Secrets management experience may be considered if Vault experience is limited

Responsibilities

Vault administration and maintenance
Provisioning access and managing secrets
Troubleshooting access and client interaction issues
Automating ticket execution and operational tasks
Infrastructure maintenance, including certificate refreshes and related activities

Schedule & On-Call Rotation

Standard business hours
One weekend per month required
Rotating schedule one week per month; alternate days worked the following week in lieu of overtime

Interview Process

Shortlist Due: June 26
Interviews: One round, 45-minute onsite interview
Target Interview Dates: July 1 2
Hiring manager will participate remotely via video; additional team members will join in person

Additional Notes

Environment is self-managed infrastructure with Terraform.
Majority of automation work will be Vault-focused, with limited ServiceNow involvement.
