Project Manager

Role Summary
This role entails overseeing global data center operations, focusing on incident management, damage control, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires leading cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation across multiple regions. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and manage critical projects related to data center infrastructure and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of critical incidents, ensuring swift damage control and efficient recovery.
• Manage post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Act as the main point of contact for global stakeholders, providing proactive updates on operational performance and incident resolution.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional projects related to data center operations, capacity planning, and technology upgrades.
• Develop and implement global operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime across data centers.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard operations.
• Guide and mentor regional data center teams, providing necessary tools, training, and resources.
• Create detailed reports on operational health, including uptime, incident logs, performance metrics, and cost analysis.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors to ensure SLAs are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in networking operations or IT infrastructure management, including at least 5 years in program or project management overseeing global teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of data center operations, power and cooling systems, server and network infrastructure, hardware lifecycle management, and best practices.
• Proven experience managing complex data center incidents and leading teams through crisis situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with global, cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven project management skills; PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is advantageous.
• Ability to analyze complex operational issues and develop effective solutions.
• This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one (Top Secret/SCI with willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph).

Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 - $80.00 USD Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any approved location within the United States.
