Description Senior Business Analyst (Digital Operations)
Location: Houston, TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Minimum of 4 days per week onsite (Monday-Thursday)
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1st Shift)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong project management and Scrum Master capabilities to support a highly visible digital operations portfolio. This role focuses on delivering enterprise technology solutions that modernize operational workflows, support regulatory and environmental compliance, and integrate complex systems across large-scale operations.
The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end requirements development, cross-functional coordination, and delivery execution for multiple digital applications. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, superior documentation discipline, and the ability to anticipate and resolve functional and technical challenges within complex, integrated system environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Leadership
- Coordinate with business users, engineers, and technical teams to elicit, document, validate, and manage business and user requirements.
- Develop detailed process flows, functional specifications, data flows, and use cases for complex system integration initiatives.
- Create workflow diagrams, screen mockups, and cross-referenced documentation libraries.
- Write clear acceptance criteria for user stories and defects; support test case reviews andQA validation activities.
Project Management & Scrum Leadership
- Serve as a project lead driving planning, execution, and delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Partner closely with product owners, developers, QA teams, and field stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Track issues, risks, and dependencies through resolution across internal teams and external vendors.
- Lead user acceptance efforts and ensure operational readiness for production deployments.
Cross-Functional & Technical Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business, engineering, and technology teams supporting new system development and enhancements.
- Support integrations involving operational technology, environmental compliance platforms, GIS, drone data, or industrial systems.
- Conduct advanced business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit evaluations.
Documentation & Communication Excellence
- Produce high-quality, structured documentation supporting requirements, workflows, training, and process change.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders, operational teams, and technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and stakeholder challenges before they impact delivery.
Requirements Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise application development, systems integration, or complex digital programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience developing requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and test documentation.
- Prior project management or Scrum Master experience, including risk management and cross-team coordination.
- Experience working closely with development and QA teams across the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications / Differentiators
- Experience working across all phases of the project lifecycle within a large enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with tools or platforms such as GIS solutions, industrial or environmental systems, construction or operational technology platforms.
- Strong analytical skills including data interpretation; experience with SQL or Oracle.
- Demonstrated Agile delivery experience and leadership of software development initiatives.
- Experience developing training materials or supporting change management activities.
- Exposure to UI/UX concepts to enhance collaboration with technical teams.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, CSPO, CSM, PSM, or PMP.
