Data Analytics / Visualization Analyst to support business and operational teams by delivering high-quality dashboards, reports, and insights. This role is highly visible and business-facing, focused on turning curated data into actionable visualizations used by internal stakeholders.
You will work closely with engineers and project managers to understand data requirements and deliver intuitive dashboards using modern BI tools.
What You'll Be Doing- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports for business users
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support analytics and reporting needs
- Develop visualizations primarily using Power BI and/or Tableau
- Support conversion or enhancement of existing dashboards as needed
- Partner with data engineers who manage pipelines and curated data sources
- Walk stakeholders through dashboards and explain data logic and insights
- Support multiple internal teams with ongoing analytics requests
Required Qualifications- Strong experience with SQL for analytics and reporting
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau (both a plus, one required)
- Proven background in dashboard development and data visualization
- Ability to clearly explain dashboards, metrics, and underlying data sources
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders
Nice to Have- Exposure to both Power BI and Tableau
- Experience converting or modernizing legacy dashboards
- Background in analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles
- Familiarity working alongside data engineering teams
What We're Looking For- Someone who is comfortable owning dashboards end-to-end
- A candidate who can balance technical skills with business communication
- Experience level is flexible - strong junior to mid-level profiles welcome
- Candidates should be able to share examples of dashboards they've built (screenshots, demos, or walkthroughs preferred)
Work Environment- Based in Birmingham, AL
- Onsite presence preferred due to stakeholder interaction
- Collaborative environment with analytics, engineering, and operations teams
