Low Voltage Technician - Entry Level to Mid Level

Position Overview

We are seeking Entry-Level and Mid-Level Low Voltage Technicians with hands-on experience in low-voltage wiring, structured cabling, telecommunications, or related electrical/technical environments.

Project Scope

Technicians will assist with AV, security and fiber/low-voltage cabling projects.
Work includes:

• Installing Cisco Room Kit Pro systems (Webex-based collaboration systems)
• Mounting and wiring two PTZ cameras per courtroom
• Mounting 75" displays and interconnecting AV components
• Wiring and configuring multiple microphones
• Installing and wiring pre-built AV/network equipment racks
• Terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cabling (most cabling already pre-pulled)

Responsibilities

Mid-Level Technicians

• Terminate and test network cabling (Cat5/Cat6)
• Perform punchdowns using 66/110 blades
• Mount/dress cable with J-hooks
• Terminate jacks in telecommunications closets
• Assist the onsite Lead Technician and guide junior techs
• Collaborate with permanent staff assigned to the project

Entry-Level Technicians

• Support cable routing and hanging with J-hooks
• Assist with device mounting and basic installations
• Learn cable termination/punchdown skills from senior technicians
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in low-voltage wiring, structured cabling, AV installation, CATV, or similar
• Ability to terminate and test low-voltage cabling (depending on level)
• Familiarity with AV or security systems a plus
• OSHA-10 is beneficial
• Ability to climb 8-10 ft ladders
• Personal vehicle required for weekly travel
• Must have a credit card for reimbursable expenses
• Strong reliability and communication skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
