Summary

Job Summary:

Qentelli is seeking an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance initiatives for our client in the banking domain. This is an onsite, client-facing role requiring strong test leadership and hands-on experience in test management, automation, and coordination across in-house and third-party platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry, strong knowledge of automation frameworks, and the ability to lead QA teams while collaborating closely with development, product, and business stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA efforts across multiple platforms and applications (both in-house and third-party).
  • Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with project requirements.
  • Manage the complete test lifecycle including planning, execution, defect management, automation, and reporting.
  • Lead and contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks.
  • Coordinate with developers, product owners, and business teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify risks, issues, and quality gaps and work proactively to mitigate them.
  • Guide and mentor QA team members and ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and report testing progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders and client teams.
  • Support regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and UAT activities.
  • Ensure compliance with banking domain standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and product quality.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and automation effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in QA and testing, with 2+ years in a QA Lead or senior QA role.
  • Hands-on experience working on banking or financial services projects.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.
  • Solid understanding of testing types including functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing small to mid-sized QA teams and coordinating with offshore teams.
