Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to oversee and optimize our IT infrastructure in Lansing, Michigan. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our network systems while providing technical support to end-users. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT administration and a strong ability to manage hardware, software, and networking components.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain both hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and required resources for IT initiatives.
Monitor network performance and resolve issues promptly to maintain system availability.
Administer user accounts, permissions, and security settings in compliance with organizational policies.
Develop and implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to protect critical data.
Provide technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related concerns.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network layouts, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and organizational usage policies.
Configure and manage networking equipment such as switches, firewalls, and routers to optimize connectivity and security.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft platforms and Azure tools.
Strong knowledge of firewall technologies and Cisco networking equipment.
Experience with Active Directory for managing user accounts and permissions.
Expertise in LAN (Local Area Network) configuration and management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and system troubleshooting.
